Lady commits suicide over cheating boyfriend in Enugu

Table of Content

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Enugu involving a 22-year-old hairstylist, Miss Odama Mary Agado, who tragically took her own life after finding her boyfriend in a compromising situation with another woman in the apartment she had rented for him.

Family sources reveal that Agado was thriving in her hairdressing career, having recently purchased a vehicle and secured housing for her partner. The emotional impact of this discovery reportedly left her deeply distressed.

A family member named Daniel recounted that Mary returned home in tears and spoke with her mother over the phone, sharing the troubling news. During this call, she expressed feelings that suggested she was in a fragile mental state, urging her mother to “take whatever happens in good faith.”

Mary’s mother couldn’t return a call due to a lack of airtime on her phone, and that made it difficult for her to get help right away. Not long after, she received the heartbreaking news that Mary had ingested a dangerous substance known as Sniper. Mary was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead soon after arriving. Her family took her body back to her hometown of Yala in Cross River State, where she was laid to rest shortly after. They decided not to involve the police and believed that Mary had made her own choice.

Daniel, a family member said, “We still can’t understand why she did it. Some people say it might be something spiritual, but nothing can bring her back now.”
