Ademola Lookman, the player of the moment, is once again in the running for Player of the Month after the Italian Serie A revealed the six finalists for the award. This is due to his recent strong play with Atalanta.
After scoring three goals, including a brace in that historic 3-0 victory over top-seeded Napoli, the 27-year-old Nigerian international has been among Atalanta’s goals this month.
Lookman has played in 15 games across all competitions for Atalanta this season, recording an outstanding nine goals and five assists.
Lookman will be among five other players, including Alessandro Buongiorno (Napoli), Federico Dimarco (Inter), Moise Kean (Fiorentina), Marcus Thuram (Juventus), and Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio), in a vote to be determined by fans for the coveted Serie A November Player of the Month award.
“The six players were chosen based on the sophisticated Stats Perform analysis that was developed from the tracking data captured by the Hawk-Eye system,” Italian Serie A elaborated. The scientifically validated rating system, which was granted a patent in 2010 with K-Sport, takes positional data into account in addition to technical events and statistical data. An objective and qualitative assessment of the performance is made possible by the ability to analyze important elements like movement without the ball and, consequently, the best movements, game decisions, and the contribution to the team’s technical and physical efficiency.
Included in the final computation were the Serie A 2024–2025 matchdays 11–13. The Serie A Player of the Month awards for August, September, and October went to Marcus Thuram, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Mateo Retegui, in that order.
