On Friday, all three senators representing Kebbi State in North West Nigeria transitioned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The senators include Alhaji Adamu Ailero, the former governor of Kebbi State, who currently serves Kebbi Central in the Senate, along with Senator Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi of Kebbi North and Senator Garba Maidoki of Kebbi South. Their decision to join the APC was announced shortly after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock.

They came to Presidential Villa in company with APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
Also at the meeting are the Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
