The Ivory Coast winger, who emerged as an important member of the team under Ruben Amorim is committing his long-term future to the club.

Amad has six goals in 28 games this season, including the equaliser in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Anfield and the winner against Manchester City in December.
His contract was supposed to expire at the end of the season, but United had the option to extend his deal by 12 months.

“I am really proud to have signed this new contract,” Amad, 22, stated. “I’ve already had some incredible moments with this club, but there’s much more to come. I am driven to make history at Manchester United and have huge ambitions in the game. It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I am confident that we are on the right track and that the future will be very spectacular. I am eager to give my all to help the club and make our fans proud again.”

The announcement comes after Amad has scored three goals in his previous six Premier League appearances, despite a sluggish start to his time at United.
He joined Atalanta in 2020 for £37 million ($46 million) and was then loaned out to Rangers and Sunderland. He succeeded at the English club, scoring 14 goals in 42 games in the 2022-23 season.
He received both Sunderland’s young player of the year and the PFA Championship fans’ player of the year awards.

With five straight games without a victory, Man United is currently in 13th place in the Premier League.
