Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated on Friday that Bukayo Saka had undergone surgery on a hamstring injury and would be out until March.
The 23-year-old experienced a muscle tear in his right leg during a 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday.
After Arsenal’s win over Ipswich, Arteta stated that the treatment was successful. “But, sadly, he will be out for several weeks.

When questioned for a specific time limit, Arteta said: “I said’many weeks’ thus I suppose it will be more than two months. I’m not sure how much longer. I believe it will be determined by how quickly the scar tissue heals over the first week or so, as well as its mobility. Let us see. “Very difficult to say.”
In Saka’s absence, the Gunners struggled, but Kai Havertz’s close-range strike in the 23rd minute saw Arteta’s team climb up to second place, six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Arteta expressed optimism about Raheem Sterling’s prognosis, despite initial concerns over his knee injury.

“The news with sterling I think is better,” he added. “How he develops this week will be determined, but we anticipated that the knee injury would likely take longer than it has in recent days. He is needed, so that’s wonderful.
