Daredevil armed robbers attacked the Igando area of Lagos, leading to the sad deaths of three people and leaving three others in serious condition. They are now getting treatment at a secret hospital after the robbers took valuables from bystanders and drove away in their car.

According to report, the incident happened on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Lanre Bus Stop on LASU-Igando Road, between 8 PM and 9 PM.

The robbers invaded the area to carry out their operation, which lasted for several minutes before they fled in their vehicle.

One of the victims was Reuben Peter Njoku, a recent NYSC graduate, who had stopped to buy chicken at the bus stop when the armed gang struck. Witnesses said the robbers parked their car and started shooting randomly while robbing people, which led to the deaths of Njoku and two others right there.

Three more victims were hurt before the robbers got away without any trouble, as there were no security guards around.

After the robbers left, the six people who were shot were quickly taken to a secret hospital, where doctors confirmed that three of them died from their injuries, while the other three are in serious condition.

When asked for comments, officials at the Igando Division Police Station said that the DPO had gone to the State Headquarters in Ikeja to tell the Commissioner of Police about what happened.
