David Moyes has returned as Everton manager after 12 years, with the club announcing that Moyes will replace Sean Dyche after he was sacked by the club.
After an 11-year tenure at Everton, Moyes left to take Sir Alex Ferguson’s place at Manchester United in 2013, but he has since returned to Goodison Park after stints with Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham.

“I’m so happy to be back! In a statement, Moyes said, “I had 11 fantastic and successful years at Everton and didn’t hesitate when I was offered the opportunity to rejoin.”
“In order for us to move into our amazing new stadium as a Premier League team, Goodison and every Evertonian must now do their part to support the players throughout this crucial season.

Under the new owners, the Friedkin Group, the 61-year-old will be responsible for launching Everton’s season and guaranteeing their Premier League survival. In the standings, the team is only one point above the relegation zone in 16th position.

“We are pleased that David is joining us at this pivotal time in Everton’s history,” Everton’s executive chairman Marc Watts said

“Having worked for the team for more than ten years, he is the ideal leader to get us through our last season at Goodison Park and into our new stadium. David and I are eager to work together to lay the groundwork for Everton’s next chapter.
On Wednesday, Everton will play their next league match against Aston Villa.
