Deborah Moses, an interior designer known by her brand Deborah Porsche, has tragically lost her life in Lagos, reportedly due to an attack by her ex-boyfriend. This incident occurred just a few months after they had separated. The accused, who is referred to as Lintex and comes from Otukpo in Benue State, allegedly entered the gated community where Deborah lived by pretending to be a delivery person.
When security personnel grew suspicious, it was reported that he climbed over the perimeter fence to gain unauthorized access to the compound. Furthermore, according to various reports, the suspect first tried to tamper with the gas pipeline located outside the building, with the intention of triggering an explosion.
After that plan failed, he broke into Deborah’s home, where he attacked her with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds that ultimately led to her death.
Family sources have disclosed that Deborah had ended the relationship over a year ago, yet the suspect persisted in harassing her and making threats.
“They broke up more than a year ago, but this guy just wouldn’t let go. He keeps saying things like, ‘If I can’t have you, no one will. If I can’t marry you, blood will flow,’” her sister shared.
She said that Deborah, who just finished her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) duty and wanted to work in interior decoration, had been ignoring many calls and attempts from her ex-partner.
“She was just trying to get her life together when this awful thing happened,” the sister explained.
After the attack, the neighbors caught the suspect and handed him over to the police.
He is currently in jail while the victim’s family and support groups are asking for justice and urging the authorities not to overlook the case.
