Leicester sack two assistants as Ruud van Nistelrooy remains in place

After a dreadful run of Premier League losses, Leicester City made two changes to its coaching staff, but manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is still in his position, the team said on Monday.
After Leicester lost 4-0 at home to Brentford, leaving them five points from safety, two of Van Nistelrooy’s assistants, Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock have left the club.

It was their sixth consecutive home loss without scoring setting a record in the premier league
Since taking over in November, Van Nistelrooy has played 13 Premier League games, winning only two and losing ten, putting his job under threat.

This is just his second senior managerial role, following a stint at PSV Eindhoven. He also served as temporary manager of Manchester United, where he previously played for five years.

First-team coaches Dawson and Alcock joined Leicester at the beginning of the season and served first under Steve Cooper, who was fired in November and Van Nistelrooy took over.
“We place on record our thanks to Ben and Danny for their contribution and service and wish them both well in the next steps of their respective careers,” the statement said.
