Liverpool has revealed images of a permanent memorial dedicated to the late Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.

The two sadly lost their lives in a car accident in Spain last July. Since last summer, A temporary memorial has been set up outside Anfield on 97 Avenue, and it will now be improved with a permanent tribute.
Entitled ‘Forever 20’, the sculpture features golden ribbons that create the numbers 20 and 30 – symbolizing Jota and Silva’s respective shirt numbers – along with a heart, depending on the viewer’s perspective.

Moreover, the piece will include the lyrics of Jota’s song, which Liverpool fans have continued to sing passionately throughout this season.

The base supporting ‘Forever 20’ will be made from recycled stone, incorporating some of the physical tributes left by supporters outside the stadium.
A statement from the Liverpool club stated: “[Forever 20] honors [Diogo Jota and Andre Silva’s] lives, their bond, and the love and respect shared by family, teammates, and fans worldwide.
“It will serve as a lasting symbol of love, unity, and remembrance, providing a space for everyone to reflect, remember, and pay their respects.”

Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 and achieved an impressive total of 65 goals in 182 appearances. He was part of the team that secured the Premier League title in 2024-25 and also won the FA Cup in 2022, scoring a penalty in the shootout victory against Chelsea.

In the wake of his untimely passing, Liverpool has retired Jota’s No 20 shirt, and he has also been honored with induction into the Hall of Fame at Wolves, his previous club.
