Man dies in Abuja hotel after sex romp with mistress

Mr. Louis Nwachukwu, an employee of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), was discovered dead in a hotel room on Monday, June 24, 2025, after checking in with a woman named Miss Helen Raymond.

Hotel staff reported that Nwachukwu and Miss Raymond arrived at the Mpape venue together. Following this, Miss Raymond told the police that he had simply “slept off” after their intimate encounter—but never woke up. Her account is now under scrutiny as authorities investigate possible foul play.

Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT police, has confirmed that an investigation is underway. She stated, “We are investigating.” Nwachukwu’s body has been sent to a mortuary, pending an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Witnesses have indicated that the hotel is collaborating with law enforcement; however, they have declined to disclose any further information regarding the body’s condition or the timing.

Hotels and security personnel in Mpape are urged to increase their alertness, as local residents demand a quicker and more transparent inquiry. Numerous community members have observed a surge in ‘one-chance’ crimes—violent incidents involving strangers, which raises significant concerns about the safety of visitors.

The circumstances surrounding Louis Nwachukwu’s death at the early age of 35 raise serious concerns regarding personal safety in Abuja’s hotel zone. As public attention grows, detectives are under growing pressure to discover whether his death was due to an accident, natural causes, or malicious.
