On Thursday, a shocking incident occurred in Benin, the capital of Edo State, during an official event. The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gbenga Agun, unexpectedly collapsed and died at the gathering, which was hosted by the International Association of World Peace Advocates.
After delivering his keynote address, Commandant Agun returned to his seat. Just moments later, he collapsed and lost consciousness. Efforts to revive him failed.
He was swiftly transported to the Military Hospital on Airport Road for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite the prompt response, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
