Obasanjo, Makinde, others to storm Osun for Adeleke’s 2nd anniversary

The Osun State Government has announced that former President Olusegun Obasanjo will lead a distinguished group of state officials at the celebration marking the second anniversary of Governor Ademola Adeleke. This information was shared by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, during a press conference held on Friday at the banquet hall of the Government House in Osogbo. Igbalaye, who also serves as the chairman for the anniversary celebration, outlined the various activities planned for commemorating Governor Adeleke’s two years in office. He mentioned that Obasanjo will inaugurate the dualized road from Old Garage to Lameco, while the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde will officially open the Osogbo Ring Road. Other notable guests expected to attend include the Minister for Works, David Umahi, and the Minister for Aviation, Festus Keyamo, SAN, among others. The planned events will feature a novelty football match between members of the legislative and executive arms, as well as a State Award ceremony in the evening at Adolak Event Centre in Osogbo. In addition to the road commissioning events, which include the Old Garage to Lameco Road led by Obasanjo, and the Osogbo Ring Road by Governor Makinde, there will be the opening of Asamu Road and local health centers by the Governor. Mr. Governor will also inaugurate Egbedi Road and a local health center, and the Cooperative College Ode Omu will be commissioned as part of the celebrations. Other activities include the kickoff of the statewide Imole agro-entrepreneur project, inspections of the Oke Fia flyover by the Minister of Works and the Minister of Aviation, and the inauguration of the Akoda Ede road by the Minister of Works.
