Prior to their match against Fulham on Sunday, Southampton announced on Saturday that they had hired Ivan Juric as their new head coach.
Juric declared, “I’m very pleased,” following the signing of an 18-month contract. “I think it’s a really big challenge but I’m very optimistic because I saw a team that can do better.”Being in contact with the fans right away is crucial. I think Southampton supporters will enjoy an aggressive team, which is what I desire.
Juric most recently served as the head coach of AS Roma earlier this season, where he managed 12 games as Daniele De Rossi’s replacement before being fired.
In Serie A, the Croatian coach has previously had stints with Genoa and Torino.
With just one victory and five points from 16 games, Southampton is currently in last place in the Premier League.
The team should “be more aggressive” and “do much more pressing,” according to Juric.
We have to alter/change our mindset that is typically my thought of football,” he stated
