BENIN – At the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Secretariat on Airport Road in Benin City, members of the G-WIN support group, under the leadership of Mr. Godwin Ovu, paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of the PDP.
While on the tour, Mr. Godwin Ovu, the group’s coordinator, congratulated the Chairman and his new staff on their appointments. He emphasised how much the Chairman has done for the PDP, especially the fact that, after more than 12 years in opposition, the party first entered government in 2020 under his direction.
He also commended Dr. Tony Aziegbemi’s leadership for the first time in 16 years that the State House of Assembly had a majority. The chairman’s service, commitment, and perseverance were appreciated by the coordinator.
Furthermore, he reiterated the group’s unwavering support and solidarity with the PDP, particularly in view of the recent senseless attacks by APC thugs on the State Secretariat.
When the Edo people willingly gave the stolen mandate during the September 21, 2024, governorship elections, he said he was confident the tribunal would act honourably. “You will eventually achieve your hat-trick of election victories,” Ovu Concluded.
Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, chairman of the caretaker committee, expressed gratitude to the group for their visit.
He also praised their excitement and dedication to the party, assuring them that “our mandate will be retrieved.”
