From the very beginning all stars are known to be shining in the night. They like shining in the nights because when they shine in the day, nobody would see them. They like it when human beings come out in the night to watch them shine.
In the night, each star would come out, stay on her corner and shine while humans watch and admire them. They love making some short and quick movements to register their presence. And whenever they make such movements, humans would spot them and sometimes call them shooting stars.
The Fire Fly was once the smallest star in the sky. But she was never a happy star because her movement was hardly spotted by humans. She often moved from place to place trying to make humans spot her, but they would still not spot her.
At a time, she started complaining that humans were not able to spot her because of the nature of the corner assigned to her. She said that the corner was too dim and dull and so prevented her from shining.
With time those other stars she went to their corners to shine started feeling uncomfortable because she would not stop complaining that the space they gave her was not enough. When they could not contain her incessant complaints and disturbances, they conspired and chased her away from the sky. She came down to the earth. Now, the Fire Fly flies from one house to another so that humans can see her shine.
