The Delta State Police Command has begun investigating the shocking murder of Pastor Oputeh Monday, which occurred in the Umuebu community of the Ukwuani Local Government Area in the state.

Pastor Monday, aged 59, was brutally killed and beheaded by unidentified assailants.

Oputeh Joshua, who is 26 years old, told the police about what happened. He said that his father had gone to work on his farm early in the morning on the Amai/Umuebu farm road. His father asked them to come and meet him later with a motorcycle.

While on their way, they heard gunshots and ran into the bushes, where they discovered their father’s lifeless body on the ground, missing his head.

“Detectives from the Obiaruku Division arrived at the crime scene and transported the body to Medisar Mortuary in Obiaruku for preservation and an autopsy,” sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Initial investigations are underway, and patrols to enhance community confidence are actively being carried out in the affected area.
