The lifeless body of a female real estate agent named Esther Osaze was discovered on Wednesday in the Ibusa community, located in the Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. Esther was kidnapped on Monday while returning from a site visit with her colleagues. Reports indicate that Esther was with three other colleagues during the abduction, while the others were able to flee. It was revealed that Esther and her three companions were inspecting a plot of land near the Nigerian Admiralty University in Ibusa when they were ambushed by armed assailants.
It was reported that Esther Osaze’s body was discovered on Tuesday evening in a tragic turn of events. A law enforcement source revealed, “The kidnappers have killed the lady. Her lifeless body was found on the roadside. The gunmen opened fire on the vehicle, causing chaos, and while others managed to flee, the girl was forcibly taken away. Sadly, her body has now been recovered.” Further details indicate that her remains were found blindfolded and bearing visible signs of bruising, adding to the horror of the situation. A close family friend, deeply affected by the incident, shared with our correspondent the heartbreaking story of Esther’s recent life. She completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) last year and had taken a brave step into the real estate business after struggling to secure employment in various banks and other institutions to which she applied. When contacted for verification, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, SSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the grim details of the case. He stated, “Yes, the lady was killed, and her body was dumped along the road. The police have ensured her remains are taken to the morgue for further examination.”
