Kano Federal High Court Judge Dies After Collapse

A Federal High Court judge in Kano Division, Justice Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, has died after reportedly collapsing at his residence.

Sources said the judge slumped in his living room on Thursday evening and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.

Officials of the Federal High Court in Abuja later confirmed that the jurist was buried on Friday in accordance with Islamic rites.

Justice Yunusa was widely known for presiding over several politically sensitive cases after the 2023 general elections, including disputes involving election outcomes and party candidatures.

Court officials described him as a hardworking judge who handled complex matters during his time on the bench.
