In his remarks, the Managing Director and CEO Nagendra Verma revealed the company’s remarkable growth in recent months.
Verma thanked the media for their constant support in promoting NIPCO Gas Ltd’s efforts in the gas sector. The company’s commitment to sharing knowledge on the benefits of CNG as an alternative fuel has been vital, and the firm looks forward to continuing engagement with the media.
The MD reaffirmed that NIPCO Gas Ltd is collaborating with NNPC Limited and the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI) to develop CNG stations, conversion workshops, and CNG kit availability throughout Nigeria. This pledge reflects the company’s objective of offering cleaner, more economical, and sustainable energy solutions.
He announced that NIPCO Gas Ltd. has received Gas Distribution Licenses (GDL) from the Federal Government and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). He added that this milestone underscores the company’s innovative role in the sub-sector and boosts investor confidence in Nigeria’s gas industry.
The 25-year exclusivity term provided by these licenses, he claims, avoids infrastructure duplication, ensuring efficiency and the optimization of national resources.
“With these accolades, NIPCO Gas Ltd. is now Nigeria’s largest indigenous licensed gas distribution company,” Verma said.
According to the MD, the company’s operational performance has been outstanding, with notable advancements in customer satisfaction, market share growth, CNG infrastructure expansion, and supply chain efficiency. Several CNG stations in the states of Abuja, Lagos, Edo, Delta, Ogun, Oyo, Kogi, and Akwa Ibom have been successfully put into service by NIPCO Gas Ltd.
Along with its outstanding operational performance, he added, NIPCO Gas Ltd. has signed a contract with Delta State to build a CNG station and conversion workshop in Asaba.
Verma said that the business intends to expand the number of CNG stations and conversion workshops in Delta State with government assistance.

In the future, NIPCO Gas Ltd. intends to increase operations even further in order to satisfy the rising demand for CNG. The company’s strategic plan calls for expanding the number of CNG stations around the country and improving infrastructure including storage facilities and pipelines.
