The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that it will remove any member who is found guilty of doing things against the party, as it follows a strict no tolerance rule on these issues.
Mr. Wole Ademoyegun, the ADC Chairman in Ondo State, announced this on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony for the party’s new executive members in the Akure South Local Government Area.
Ademoyegun mentioned that there are people trying to sneak into the party to ruin its chances of getting leadership at both the national and state levels.
“ADC has a no tolerance policy on anti-party activities, and any member who is caught doing such things will face consequences and be kicked out.
“We have information that the ruling party has placed some spies within our group, but we are ready to deal with this problem.
“If we stay true to ourselves and united, we won’t succumbed to any financial inducement,” he said.
The chairman urged party members to be courageous and urged the newly sworn-in executive members to work hard and not give up, pointing out that “fear and feelings of inferiority must be avoided.”
According to Ademoyegu, the party is open for registration of new members which will commence in a few weeks.
Additionally, Dr. Samuel Omomo, a key figure within the party, underscored that its operations are distinct from others due to their altruistic character.
Omomo added that the party is strategically prepared to challenge the ruling party in the forthcoming national elections.
In a related comment, Mr. Abiodun Adeyemi, the newly appointed ADC Chairman of Akure South Local Government, conveyed his gratitude to the party’s leadership and members for their trust in him and the other executive members.
Adeyemi assured that the new executive team would strive diligently to “elevate the party to extraordinary levels.”
Among the newly appointed executive members are Deputy Chairman Mr. Tunji Osalade; Mr. Oluwatobi Adaramoye, Vice Chairman 1; Mr. Gabriel Oluwajuyilemi, Vice Chairman 2; and Mr. Anthony Bejide, who will serve as Secretary.
