The Kogi State Police Command has began investigating the deaths of a man and a woman in the Ankpa Local Government Area.
SP William Aya, the command’s public relations officer, shared in an interview on Saturday that the victims were identified as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both from Ankpa.
It remains unclear whether they were in a relationship, but their bodies were found unclothed in a room. Aya described the situation as unexpected and unnatural, stating that the police are investigating to find out how they died.
Aya explained, “A man named Salisu Ibrahim from Alo in Ankpa came to the station around noon to report that his tenant, Sheriff Salifu, hadn’t come out of his room as he usually does by 9:31 am.
“Then, the deceased’s brother entered the room through the ceiling and discovered both Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama from Ojogobi Road, Ankpa, lying dead inside. They were both found naked.”
